Best OBD2 laptop software for BMW?
I'm looking to get into scanning my 2009 128i. As a techie I want to go the laptop route.
I've read about INPA, Toolset32 etc. What is the preferred software for our cars? |

I personally use BMWHAT. I did look into the diy solution first - just looked like more work than I wanted. There is lots of info on BMW Coding .com

Hey JTB,
what can you do with the BMWHAT? The Bavarian Technic one looks good but pricy, http://www.bavariantechnic.com/Condi...edService.aspx |

I guess the name changed to mycarly since I last used it. Fair amount of functionality. Missing a couple things I would like and they charge an additional $10 for registering a new battery which is a little irritating for a $45 app. It does work and is easy to use.

The android based MHD flasher app has basic fault code reading/clearing functionality - aside from the performance tuning which is what it's intended for...
The standard set of software used by most is the NCS-Expert, EDIABAS & INPA. All 3 are windows based. |

Any one use BMWLogger? I tried to use it to register a battery but it keeps saying cannot connect to DME even though it recognizes my K+DCAN cable and the ignition is on.
