The Tristan is right behind the Patriot, you may even see your car arrive tomorrow!
I just talked to my dealer a bit ago and we're thinking a Saturday delivery is the earliest I could hope for. Otherwise, I think I'll be canceling my work travel next week so I can "work from home" |

It varies depending on the queue at the port, but cars that are already sold get priority and move through quicker. In my case, it took 3 days from port to dealer (the dealer was only 200 miles from the port by truck). So I think you can figure 1-2 days for prep queues after the ship arrives, and then however many days it takes to transport to your location. There may be a train ride between Baltimore and Michigan in your case, so that will probably add some time -- might be worth researching that more.

Got the call. Looks like my car will be ready to be picked up next Friday or Saturday. I'll most likely be camping out Thursday night across the street from the dealership

Good for you! Patriot is due to dock in S.C. on Sunday. Hopefully they can clear and get to me in West Palm Beach by Fri as well, but that might be pushing it.

Not yet. I'm hoping I'll be able to take delivery tomorrow or Saturday. My dealer is going to call me when the car is sitting in front of him. As of Monday it was still in Baltimore waiting for transportation to Pittsburgh.
This has been the absolute worst week in terms of waiting |

Car is in!
After arriving on the Tristan last Wednesday the port finally released my car to the carrier on Tuesday. The car arrived at the dealer late yesterday, exactly six weeks after placing my order.
Unfortunately it is going to snow later today so I probably won't pick it up until Friday... |

Man, still no update from my dealer I'm not sure why it's taking so long to get from Baltimore to Pittsburgh, but I'm hoping a Saturday delivery is still possible!
edit: She's being unloaded at the dealership right now, however no tech are in tomorrow to service the car so it looks like delivery will be next week! Last edited by Thaddy; 12-17-2010 at 04:48 PM.. |

Yeah I didn't inquire as to why it took so long, but I'll be making sure it didn't sustain any damage during transit, no matter how small. The only reason I can think of is that my salesman mentioned they were expecting 20+ cars yesterday and today. It's quite possible I had to wait for a truck because there were so many cars headed to my dealership!
