anyone notice a ticking sound near drivers side?

I too have the same sound as recorded in the first few seconds of SixBanger's video. Tonight is the first night I actually noticed it when I was too far from the ATM and had to open my door to get to it. /shrug. Seems like this is normal based on the replies in the thread.

The fuel pump probably primes when you open the door.

I have no idea what ticking sound you guys are talking about. If I heard it in person maybe I could help...

Is the ticking kinda sound like a faint chatter? It could just be clutch chatter from the cold weather.

Edit: Just read the previous post on the AC system, that makes a lot of sense also. I've never heard the noise you guys are talking about though.

Just following up on my previous post above (with the video):

So after taking the car to the dealership I was told that the problem was with the radio. On the phone they said they replaced the radio and the noise was gone. When I got the car back I noticed that some of the noises were still there but this time I could barely notice - it was as if they had found a volume knob and were able to just lower the volume of the noise in a way that you can only hear if you're really picky like me However, when I start the car then all other normal noises (engine, wind, tires, etc) become louder than the noise I was complaining about so its as if it was gone.

I'm not 100% satisfied - it seems like they just found a quick fix - but it's now something that I can live with it....
