LUX Flicker @ Startup

I know this has been covered before, but I haven't seen it recently...
Is it "normal" for LUX bulbs to flicker rapidly back & forth for approx. 5 to 8 seconds at startup on a 2012 1er? I've read all of the
posts denoting that it's the "system check" for bulbs to be functioning normally, but it seems odd that there wouldn't be more posts
about this anomaly (i.e. people freaking out). More importantly, if there's no way around this, there seems to be about a half-dozen
suggestions as to how to defeat it (DRLs set to "on" in computer, light switch to "auto", etc., etc.)

Also, if I install LED sidemarkers, can I expect the same issue?

Any of you out there with a newer 1er have a definitive fix? Thanks.

I have a 2012 1er. It's normal. It's the canbus system doing a start up check. Sometimes it will do it, sometimes it won't. Leaving it on auto is the only way I know of.

I agreed, happened to my car as well. Depends on the car model too.
Lux flicker on some cars but not others.

I tried with coding to clear off the Canbus start up check but failed.

It is the nature of LED's.

Am I the only one that thinks the flicker on startup is somewhat cool. I can see how it might be kinda annoying but for me its far from an issue and makes people go... whoa what did you do to that thing!!
