I was immensely interested in this beautiful thing but it seems from messages in the forum, although I haven't yet made any enquiry with either BMWHK or Valiant, that the illuminated version costs at least HK$4,000-HK$5,000 including installation. The mechanic needs to do wiring all around the car in order to make the stuff illuminate.

The un-illuminated version would be much cheaper.

Honestly, a few thousand dollars for something you would notice probably 1-2 seconds when open the door at night, doesn't worth, although it is very beautiful.

Wonder how you guys deal with the brake dust. BMW brake pads are notorious for the huge amount of brake dust they generate.

Any effective rim cleaner to recommend or if any waxing will help the cleaning? I'm using Meguair. It's decent but not outstandingly strong.

In th past week, roads were very dirty , today , i showered the rims, used rims cleaners, shampooed and cleaned the rims; after washed away the water, the brake dust and grease were still there. I had to wax all the grease off by hand on 4 x 14 ME spokes Agreed. hands waxing is the effective solution.

I'm not sure whether I should say you're lucky or not to have your domestic helper clean your rims everyday The pro is of course that you have a bright shiny rim every day, the con is that you don't have the "intimate" moment with your car.

I wash my car every two weeks, and wax it once per month. It's damn hot under the carpark (underground) but I enjoyed the time. Can sweat like hell and feel like having done a gym session.

I'm going to wash my car tomorrow. The rims are damn dirty, changed from silver to gunmetal to now dark gray, thanks to the dirty water on the road this week

Do you use Zaino to wax your wheel? Is that specifically for wheel? Bimmian sells Wheelwax and some people in the forum said it works quite well.

I got a quote from BMWHK already. The part cost you $8k and the labor cost not sure as they do not know how many hours need. I think total >$10k are expected! So i will go for the "M" version. It cost <$2k!

Ken, the Zaino US web won't accept international orders. I think Sunny can give you a hand as he had ordered Zaino to be shipped to HK.
