My SA will confirm me later with the date....probably this week. Will let you guys know what kind of loaner they have....

....well, the loaner is not free in a sense.....it costs me a re-painted door and numerous trips to the dealer!

Yes, becos they treat you so well in the past , I think you should ask for a compensation!

For the loaner car, let me guess...... a E46 330ci!

T,

Please find below some more pictures of the trunk to give you an idea of the space. Also, some pictures of the front seats where the new woofer speakers are underneath. One wouldn't notice the speakers unless you look underneath it.

t,

Just checked with the Belkin website. It is just a normal 3.5mm mini phone jack cable.....same as those with your earphone/walkman.

Thanks!. At today lunch time, I bought a new 6" calble from Apliu Street to replace the bad and rubbish one (1.5m length!) which I had screwed up with the Berkin.

With the new 6" cable , the initial sound test was showing the sound is stable and no unwanted noise.

I use iPOD NANO for the test, I guess I will in time use other mp3 players to test if it is better than the apple.

Time for ROCK and ROLL

Now , I have issues............(after I tested the Berkin ipod conenctor again a while ago ). The stereo sound tend to be concentrated on the driver side speaker? The 'stereo image' sounds quite strange; so I need some test music tracks to test again. Again, I think this whole E90 sound issue still not resolved until the speakers are all replaced.

BTW, I remember someone here told us that the front panel cd drive can support MP3 music files on CD; may I ask if anyone (with normal e90 audio system ) actually able to play MP3 files on CD?

thanks , one more question, if I write my mp3 files onto a CD, can I created several sub-folders containing mp3 files ? Or do I need to place all files in the root directory of the CD ? The reason I ask is because I actually had tried once to put a CD-R of MP3 to the E90 and it failed to recognize the cd disc.

Yes, you can create songs under folder.
Have you finalized your CD-R disc? Try CD-RW next time, it works better than CD-R sometimes, due to different refractive index.

I finally took time to drive the car to BMWHK for repair, after the accident.

My SA inspected the fender, bumper etc. in detail and concluded the paint job will have to be on both fender and bumper, i.e. 2 pieces. I actually expected for that because the scratches do span across both parts.

In addition, my SA smartly spotted out that actually there is a dent on my rear door which is hardly noticeable. There is no puncture point for the dent . There was just a small area of the door bending very slightly inwards possibly because of the impact of the crash. Without crouching down to see the reflection of the parking line on the door (the line is curved at the dent area), it simply cannot be noticed.

My SA previously quoted over the phone that the paint job for each piece of component is $3,500, cheaper if more than one component. Today after the inspection he quoted me $6,000 inclusive of respraying the bumper and fender. He will also ask the technician to fix the very slight inward bending of the door, touch up two existing dents at other areas on my doors and to touch up two other very minor scratch points on the body.

Whilst $6,000 itself is expensive, it is not unresonable for the whole package. So I agreed to it

Will pick up the car on Friday. You guys won't see a damaged car in the next meet

And will go to police station to close file tomorrow. Really want this to conclude asap so I could go back to enjoy the "sheer driving pleasure" which a BMW new car owner should be entitled to.
