Cf spoiler with bad fitment! Options
I bought a CF spoiler before the winter. Now that the weather is warming up i checked to make the install. To my dissapointment it seems like the ends of the spoiler will be really hard to make stick onto the trunk lid. I don't feel like trying to install and then having to remove it due to not 100% perfect fitment. The 3m tape is too much of a pain to remove!
So should i buy one that fits better? Should i go ahead with the install of the first spoiler with clamps and tape to hold? |

Which company did you get the spoiler from? I only ask because I am looking for an OE rep spoiler and don't want to run into the same issue as you are.
Back on topic: I have heard some others try and put more of the 3M tape on the corners to make it stay down. |

betalink the whole thing. I did mine twice with tape and after the ends coming up twice I was sick of spending $15-20 a shot on 3m tape. For $15 (or less) I went to my dealer, got the betalink kit and have been happy as a pig in poo since. It's simple to use, clean up is a snap using the solvent and tool in the kit.

i just did the install this weekend w/ the beta link... can be a bit messy u just gotta take your time. Wear Latex gloves! Also use clamps on the ends until the betalink cures(w/ the trunk open). I would try and clean up and excess w/ the cleaner before it cures, that will make your life 100x easier.

I laid blue painters tape around the outline of the spoiler, spent maybe 15-20 minutes on this, get it as close as possible. I taped the spoiler in place while doing this. Put a good goo of the betalink on the spoiler and stick it in place. Clamp the ends. Tape it down where you want it. Then use the little tool to scrape up the big stuff that has gooed out. The little bits of extra will wipe off easily with the solvent/tool/paper towels later. Working carefully, I didn't even need any gloves...
Honestly, I was expecting this nasty, stick to everything in sight, black tar of death, but it was really surprisingly easy to use and clean up. A HELL of a lot easier than peeling off sticky 3M tape...again...and again...
