I have a set of 4 18x10 TR Motorsports MT1 Wheels and 275/35-18 BFG R1s (for my E90) that I test-fitted to the 1M a week ago. Results:

1. Rears fit fine. Fronts would seriously rub.

So, I am ordering an additional 2 18x8.5 MT1s to use as fronts on the 1M for track use. I am planning to run 255/35 fronts with 275/35 rears on the 1M.

This car is balanced from the factory, it doesn´t need a square setup to reduce understeer. I tracked it last Saturday, was fantastic on the PS2s (but it eats them immediately).

by any chance can you take pics of the front setup? I want to see if with camber/suspension, that setup will work.

It will be tough to get a 10" up front without rubbing. If the offset if correct, you will most likely run on the fender side.

Question Really?

Hankook RS3's shaved to 5/32 depth....
What is the weight? I am really surprised they are lighter with all the extra rubber. With the M3, the OEM 18" (BBS)wheels were actually lighter than the OEM 19" forged wheels, but add the tires and then the 19's were actually lighter. I figured the same principal would apply here... I thought it might be a wash in the end.

The Apex are 18's and are much wider but much lighter than the oem 19's, 18.85 lb for the 18x9.5 and 20.45 lb for the 18x10.5. With the much wider RS3's you are still saving 4 lbs per corner up front and almost 3 lbs per corner in the rear, that is total 14 lbs of unsprung weight.

I race in a stock class that will require the stock wheel sizes. I wonder it 265's in the front and 295's in the rear will fit?

This car has 255f /285r on stock wheels, but is lowered with coilovers. He is getting some rubbing up front.

Thanks! I had no doubt the wheels were a lot lighter, I just thought with the extra rubber it would erase the huge weight savings with the lighter wheel(6-7lbs less per wheel over stock). But 3-4lbs per corner less, including tires, is still pretty good!

Anyone had time to fit more tires on the 1M. I am still wondering if 265's front and 295's rear is going to work on the stock wheels for stock class SCCA autocross. We are allowed a 5mm spacer in the front but no spacer in the back.

What's the ET on the wheels? I have a few friends that run that wheel/ tire size setup on a 1M and they do not rub at all.

ET35 front and 27 rear.

Let us know if can help you with your set of track wheels.

We have done many like this, with or without tires.

Stoptech Trophy 380 and AP will both work. Brembo 380 is too big for this, mainly the caliper clearance issues, but their smaller kit will work.

See photo with the Apex ARC8 over the Stoptech Trophy Sport.
