which tires?
Ok, before anyone tells me to try the search function, I have and while there were some answers nothing concrete. So hence my questions
I am running PSSs on my car right now, but need to replace them. Unfortunately the size i need for the rears ( 265 30 19) are nationally backordered with no current production date being listed by Michelin. So I am thinking about two possible replacements and am looking for opinions 1- Conti- extremecontact DW 2- Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 thoughts on these? thanks |

I just switch from my stock 18's on DWs to ARC-8s on PSSs and love it. Before the change I was happy with the DWs, especially in the rain. In fact I'm getting DWS06s this fall when I switch back to my stock wheels. To me PSSs just feel more connected to the road, are quieter, and seem to absorb bumps better. You may be disappointed in whatever you choose though, but DWs are just a little lagging in just about everything compared to PSSs so they may be you best alternative.

Wow, guess that will make up my mind. I've been considering going up to 265/30/19s from 255s. How bout if you do down to 255 or up to 275 and stick with PSS?

It depends what kind of power you are putting down and what you're using the car for. The Ventus are cheap and okay in the wet and dry for a street car. They aren't an upgrade though
And the 265 will be a little less wide than the PSS. |

My car makes 379 wheel and have had the Cec on for 4 months. Yea I drive hard but these tires are garbage there way to soft of rubber and I do not believe the treadwear numbers at all. My Ventura v12 lasted a wopping 10 months and this is with no tire spinning on either brand. Just hard hard hard launches

I'd still just stick with the PSSs in 255 over what I've heard on this thread so far. They really aren't very expensive, and wear great. I haven't looked lately, but last time I did, all the tires that came in 265/30/19 were undersized type tires anyways, to really get much more tire to the ground than the 255 PSSs you practically need a 275. Also PSSs do a great job of running wide on a not wide rim, do ya'll have at least 9.5inch rims? I guess a 265 Nitto N555 wouldn't be too bad a choice, they wear pretty well and are really cheap.
