Hopefully someone who has tried it with stock wheels/topmounts etc will pop along soon , ive ordered the kit so I guess we will see soon if I need to fit spacers or shorter spring etc and will update this thread for others wondering, reading Fe1rx's long thread again it looks like I will need wheels spacers on supplied springs but will get details once I have it all on car. Yes, that would be great to know for those running OEM wheels and tires.

Quick update for those searching.
Fitted the Ohlins kit with new stock top mounts onto my 2010 n55 135i, set the spring collars as per Ohlins instruction as start point (3mm preload) and bolted it all on. Tried my wheels for clearance and I can confirm that with my 225/40-18 Uniroyal Rainsport3 tyres on stock 261m wheels the tyre JUST rubs on the spring collars!... used a 3mm slip on spacer and this gave clearance so ideal for these wheels tyres, I suspect with stock 215/40 tyres you "might" get away without the spacers, but will depend on brand of tyres as some are chunkier/squarer than others, see below. I dug out spare stock fitment wheels which I thought had stock 215/40 tyres on but they are 225/40-18 as well and this time Federal 595RSR which are a bit chunkier, they wont go on with the 3mm spacers so I will need to dig out my 12mm hubcentric spacers to run those, I suspect I may get some arch/bumper contact with those wheels as I that's why I removed the 12mm spacers previously after fitting the M3 lower control arms which pushes wheel out as well. Also ride height was a little low for me on stock collar position (approx. 330mm wheel centre to arch) so I wound the collars up a little to raise it 5mm which improves the tyre/collar clearance as well. Short story for those looking, stock 215/40 rubber on stock wheels and top mounts etc should clear without spacers, if chunky/wide section tyres then spacers maybe required. Hope this helps anyone looking. Ian |

So if I'm running this set up currently:
*Stock BMW 264 wheels with *225/40 & 255/35 Michelin Pilot Super Sport *BMW top hats *M3 control arms The MPSS 225/40/18's run a bit wider similar to the Fedral 595RSRs (internet shows they both have 9.1" section width. I order the 7" front springs and it clears.
