Does this look like the stock 135i exhaust?

Sorry for the noob question but just took some snaps of the exhaust with my phone real quick to see if anyone can confirm/deny that this is the stock 135i (M sport) exhaust.

The exhaust looks and sounds pretty "beefy" already so I wonder if there is any point in upgrading it. My guess is the tips are aftermarket but the rest is stock, but I'm not sure.

From what I can see in the pictures, looks like a stock muffler with aftermarket tips and a resonator delete. The lack of resonator would definitely add more sound. In addition, if you are so inclined, check the left side of the muffler near the back of the tips and see if there is a small black vacuum line attached to your exhaust valve controller. If not, that could also explain your "beefy" description as the lack of the vacuum line allows the valve to remain open all the time thus more noise.

I missed the resonator delete in the pics. Would definitely make a difference, as would the vacuum line.

Thanks guys. So is there an easy way to tell what type of exhaust this is, and whether he also did the down pipes?

It's probably not a brand name exhaust. If I had to guess, you have partial OEM and partial no name pipe. From the looks of it, it's a BMW muffler and some pipe that an exhaust shop had lying around and was welded on in place of the resonator for added sound. Can't tell what brand the tips are, but then again I don't study up on my tip brands very often. You would have to get under the car and look where the DP is in order to tell if the prior owner changed anything as none of the pictures provided show the DP. I know here in CA in order for a car to be sold, it has to have an up to date emissions test. If you live somewhere that requires this, and everything was done legit, then chances are it has the stock DP with cat. Hope this helps.

They look like berk midpipes, which are resonated only, no secondary cats.
