Of course the seat must be repaired/replaced after that has occurred.

So you get the ADR benefit of absorbed frontal impacts and superior side-impact protection with idiot proof mounting.

Thanks for the tip. I guess if you're able to find a restraint that combines the benefits of both ISOfix and ADR systems, then you've got the best of both worlds.

Hi guys,

wife is due in a few months so need to start sorting this sort of stuff out.

Sounds like most of you have ordered from o/s to get the isofix seats (which looks a lot more sensible than the Australian system). But the missus is keen to get an ADR compliant seat and I'd just prefer to buy from a shop in Australia.

Any ideas which ones fits properly on the skinny back seats of the 135?

Best thing to do is go down to the local Babyland or whatever and try out all the seats they have. Our kids are nearly out of the booster seats but they started in the Safe n Sound Royal Retractors which convert from rear-facing capsule to front facing seat up when required. It'll be a tight fit whatever happens especially a rear-facing capsule in a two-door as you have to lift the baby over the straps anchored to the rear parcel shelf.

I guess there's a reason why the old four-door is the family choice.

WAY has his boy at the back before. I think there is even enough room to have reverse rear facing (for young babies 0-6 months).

I will not have the seat set up because I wanna save the leather. My girl is 4.5 and 2.5 now and they can be in the booster seat.

Can't wait. The ship is docking 18th.

Been using the maxi cosi for close to a month now and no problems at all. I also bought a Bugaboo Bee (and adapters to fit the maxi cosi to it).

Takes 3 minutes to put baby in or out of car (including time to unfold bee, move seats etc).

Was kind of funny on the weekend, took him to Fox Studios (Moore Park) which is a very popular with new parents and parked next to 2 4wd who were also getting babies out of the car. I pulled up and had we were walking away in 3 minutes. Wife said they were just staring at me in shock as they were still struggling to assemble their massive strollers...

So if anyone is worried about the 135i and a baby - don't be!!!

I am sure Sarah would like to know from the fellow convertible owners of how to strap a backward facing baby seat in her car. Last meeting, I could not find for her the anchor near the head rest area.

so what does it cost to get the maxi cosi and also cost of transporting it here from UK or US? (what sort of time needed to get it?)

My daughter is 19 months now--dont get 135i in Melbourne till October (convertible). Is there any issues with baby seat with vert?

Is maxi cosi ok for my daughters age group?? --she will be 21 months old on pickup in October?

The best part is, you never have to wake the baby up going in and out of the car! It's the best thing ever, and every friend I have recommended it to are now swearing by it. My sister just had her second child and is using our maxi-cosi in her X5, and she said she wished that she had known about the Maxi-cosi when she had her first one!
