was able to land a SSTT (split sec turbo tuner) here for $650 AUD incl. postage ($85 USD! Fedex) and credit card surcharge for my 335. Was a bit fiddly to install as the photos on the instruction sheet were a bit confusing. Anyway, makes a noticeable difference in throttle response. But apparently with Progman 29.2 (this may not be an issue with the 135), 29.2 introduces significant turbo lag. Have a brake sensor problem that existed intermittently before installing the SSTT and dealer wants to do a progman update but may hold off because of the lag issues.

Andrew and Swift135i, the progman 29.2 and the V81 DME came about with March production N54 powered cars. So unless the dealer updated the software version of the car, you may well be pre-29.2 progman, which means that your fuel delivery and boost are not being monitored in the same manner a 29.2 /V81DME cars are being monitored.
I'll say "+1" to Andrew for telling you to contact the dealer to make a definitive determination. |
