Congrats! The color in the online tracker tends to be wrong initially. Mine was alpine white for a few weeks then changed to space gray recently.

Mine was space gray from the day it was entered in the system until about 4 days before it actually went into production.

Don't stress about it; so long as your copy of the order from your CA says the right colour and options, you're in good shape.

Now I'm just checking BMWUSA daily to see if there's any change from "In Production" with only two weeks left until I leave for Munich. I know it'll be ready, but there's just something about wanting to know when "my baby is born"

Is there an "average time" for waiting from the time the order is accepted to when the car is built??

depends on if they have an allocation. did they give you a production number out the door? one of two things can happen; 1, you got their current month allocation and it should be built within a week or two, or 2, you got an october allocation, and it will be built then.

Mine showed a black car with black interior for the first few days then changed to alpine white with coral red. Nothing to worry about. Congrats thats almost the same I ordered last week. I didn't get nav or cold weather stuff though.
