FS: Tampa VO 1M
Hi Guys, Long time lurker and Tampa 1M owner here. I'm thinking about selling my 1M. I'm the original owner, and back when I got it I posted a thread depicting the details of my delivery and the unveiling event the dealer threw when I received it. You can check this thread: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=573191 The reason I'm thinking of selling is that I'm going to be moving to Germany…of all places in the next 6-8 months and I can't have this car sitting here garaged up, uncared for, and not being driven or maintained while I'm gone. The problem is that I absolutely love this car. I try so very hardly not to drive it and even though I drive another car regularly, I still managed to put 24,000 miles on it just cruising around the city here where I live since I got it back in 2011. This is on top of being on travel for work the majority of the time! Somehow I let the car make me feel guilty every time I drive it because I'm so scared of someone ruining it, dinging it, or hitting me, and I just hate putting miles on it. I haven't done anything to it other than modify my factory wheels (powder coat the outer parts) to give it more a "unique" look than just a regular VO 1m. I really like the high contrast between the tint/wheels and the beautiful metallic orange. I have the 1M floor mats with orange stitching and a BMW car cover for it, but that's really it beyond the car itself. I never went crazy accessorizing or upgrading. The car has never left the area other than a road trip to Miami once and a few trips to Orlando. It's been religiously waxed and taken care of since it came into my hands from the factory. It's never been tracked or raced. I'm not in a rush to sell it but if the right offer came along, I'd certainly consider it. The car had all of the available options on it when I received it ( didn't have any choice ), so if you're looking for something specific, rest assured there were no options omitted. I had all of the maintenance performed at the same dealer at recommended intervals and I have documentation to back it all. I also put a fresh set of Michelin PSS on the rears around 19000 miles. Of course I've not completely made up my mind about it yet ( shipping it back to Germany is unreasonable, but finding a caretaker might not be ) but I'm willing to field questions or comments if you have any! Thanks for reading ! Last edited by SuperSig; 03-07-2014 at 02:21 PM.. |

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the late response. I've been without my computer ( shipped back to Apple for repair ) and I'm in the middle of moving out of my place so I haven't had the opportunity to respond. To those asking about price: I don't have any figure in mind yet as I'm not sure what it's worth and I'm not 100% ready to sell it yet. I'm not headed to Germany until the latter half of 2014 and I'm not in a hurry. I was just curious about the market demand and trying to gauge interest as I really don't want to go down other avenues to sell the car to some dealer that's just going to flip it. |

Dude...I had my 1M in Germany and it was a fantastic car to blow around Nurburgring and Hockenheim and Spa Francorchamps... In a heart beat I'd spend $3000 to ship there and enjoy driving 160mph on the autobahn and all the club meets with the European 1Addicts...huge fan base and quite active english speaking membership in Germany....huge BMW meets 2-3 times a year..you'll regret not taking it.
But that being said, I need a car for a week in Orlando, starting 30 March...willing to rent it to me

Still can't afford it (yet) but I am glad to see that prices are getting more reasonable. There were a few $70K cars online not too long ago. Maybe in another year or so when high 40s are more the norm I might snap up a VO.
