Mirror covers vs. mirror caps

I'm looking at purchasing carbon fiber mirror caps but they are around $500. I notice that a lot of places offer covers that have 3m tape that you stick onto your existing mirror caps. How do these look? Anyone have pictures of them. I feel that a 3m cover would look cheap

Here's a few pictures I found of the 3m di-noc. It won't appear as glossy as the normal CF mirror caps..but IMO still look pretty good.

I'm not talking about the vinyl, if anyone looks on eBay they will see the carbon fiber that has 3m tape on the other side to stick it to your mirrors. It sounds kind of.... Tacky.... Just wanted to see if anyone had done it so I could see some pictures

I've heard Fitment can be a little iffy on the adhesive ones and there is always a slim line of paint showing. If you have a dark colored car it's probably not as big of a deal, but I've been hesitant because of my AW paint.

I actually have a set from eBay I bought a year back and the double sided tape that comes with it is CRAP! I went to Home Depot and bought double sided 3M tape that supports 50 pounds of weight. Those suckers will never prob come off but they sure do look good and cannot tell unless looking from the mirror angle you can see a slim thin white outline but IMO it looks fine no one can seem to tell they are covers

The carbon fiber mirror covers can look really nice as long as they are good quality. We have never had any complaints about ours.

I had the covers on my old 3 series. Not perfect, but pretty good considering the savings.
