1M vs M3 E92 Rear Sway Bar
I was looking through the BMRautowerkes website and noticed that Stu was selling both the 1M and the M3 E92 rear sway bar. Both are listed at 22.5mm.
I did a little bit of research on RealOEM and found that the all the bushings and screws etc are the same but the bar itself is a different part number. 1M Rear Sway Bar M3 E92 Rear Sway Bar Does anyone know the difference between them and which one would be more appropriate for our 1ers and or for E82's vs E88's? (Yes, I know I could have just shot Stu an email but I figured I'd see what everyone's opinions were whilst letting people know of some new products/options)

I would love to know as well as I'd like to do it when I do the rear bushes. I asked Harold if they are the same ages ago and he said "I think it is a tad smaller than the 335i coupe/sedan bar."
I think the 1M sway bar would be a perfect application. |

I've heard differing opinions on this. Still trying to figure out what's right haha.
Some say only do the rear if you have an LSD, others say it's ok to do the rear as long as it's the E92 and not E93 M3 bar. I'm thinking of doing the rear when I do the bushings. So I don't have to get the subframe dropped twice... I guess if the rear ends up being too stiff and I get a lot of oversteer I can always get an LSD installed later.

Makes sense to do it at once, paying to have the subframe dropped twice doesn't. Till then report back and let us know how it goes with the stiffer rear sway sans LSD |
