I took my 135i in for an oil change and the selt belt recall in November and they did the following (which I assume is the re-programming): N54 Program Control Units (DME Data Status)
That was about 8000 km ago. Last week or so I have noticed that it's taking about 3-4 seconds to crank, when it was doing it almost instantly before that, even in the cold. I'm at 54K km and no HPFP replacement yet. I'm worried that this flawless streak may not last long.

I had my warranty work done. It took longer then expected...they had my car for7 days...but at least I had a loaner car. They replaced my injectors, my HPFP, did the reprogramming and replaced some sensor. Car sems to be running fine...no change from before as far as I can tell.. It ran good before and it runs well now.

I called to schedule a my oil change and they kept the car for the day and did all the recalls..seat belt, rear light seals, and I had no clue that there was a recall for the injectors and finally for the HPFP. Service guy said they finally figured out the issue with the HPFP and they ended up changing all 6 of my fuel injectors and the HPFP. While I thought my car was just fine previously, I can say with 100% confidence the car is significantly stronger in every gear. It's almost night and day. I had a dyno done a year ago and the car was a bit low on power compared to other 135i's on the same dyno. Next month I hope to be testing our new quad outlet exhaust and I'm going to get a stock dyno again first. I swear the butt is registering a good 20hp. For me this set of recalls was 100% worth it.

I got N54 Program Control Units (DME DATA STATUS) done back in mid-Feburary. Then I just got a letter from BMW Canada for BMW Voluntary Emissions Recall Campaign - N54 High-Pressure Fuel Pump. I guess they are not the same thing then?

I have to get my 20,000 km service work done so I am demodding and taking the car in for the recalls (HPFP, tail lights and seat belt).

Finally got around to dropping the car off to get the HPFP, Injectors, and rear seals recall done. Nice of the dealer to give me a brand new X1 as a loaner Too bad they don't have 1Ms to loan out.

Got the recalls done in Mid April (seat belts, tail lights, five new injectors and the software). Today driving home the engine light goes on and power dropped significantly. Felt like the car wasn't running on all cylinders. Drove it straight to the dealership without turning it off and letting it reset (thank you 1addicts). Funny enough the windows had opened halfway earlier in day and had never done that before though I think another poster had this experience. Initial diagnosis was an ignition problem. Methinks the drama is just beginning and after only 20000 kms. Anyone know the German word for "reliability"?
