Yearly oil change and checkup
Hi guys,
next month i need to go to the dealer for an oil change i go once a year and i dont know if they will do anything else sometimes they just check stuff and or update firmware of ecu.The problem is that i got my car chipped and im wondering if i should just leave the chip inside and they wont know i have one if they do just an oil change but im scared that they try something else and figure it out you know. Also i dont know what it is like Procede or JB3 or Vinshu? i wanna remove it... can anybody do this or you need the tool that delete the code from bmw or something like that? What would you do if you were me? |

From what i've heard you should take it out if the car is still under warranty, BMWs service techs are trained to look for these type of mods. I'd take it out

I'd remove it for sure. What bothers me is the fact that you don't know what sort of tune you have...

Depends on the dealership. I left my downpipes, intercooler and jb4 (set to map 0) when I had service done to it. However, I would definitely take them off if you were going in for warranty work.
