New Member Here, g35 convert
Hi Guys, thought I would introduce myself. I currently own an Infiniti G35 4 door. As my lease is winding down, I am pretty set on getting a BMW this time around.
While the G35 is a good car and offers a good value of speed and performance, my overall conclusion is BMW is definitely still a better car. I'm kind of over the speed in a straight line, I live in LA and never really get a chance. But I love to take my car in the twisties and hit turns fast, the G does that well, but the BMW feels born to do it and much more nimble. I also appreciate the fact that the BMW is produced with much better quality paint and materials. The aftermarket scene for the Infiniti is awful, everything is junky fiberglass, can't have that on my ride. The German cars get much better aftermarket goodies...Hamann, AC Schnitzer, Rieger, Ottinger etc.. All in all looking forward to the Beema! I will definitely be lurking for now, and contributing once I get my BMW. |

LOL, it's not official yet so I haven't said my goodbyes over there.
I think a lot of them want me to get out of there, got into an argument/discussion about how junky fiberglass kits are...they told me to leave and get a BMW....I told them it's already in the works. HAHA |

Welcome (soon) to the world of the Bimmer. I definitely hope you enjoy it
My buddy's roomie just got a G35 sedan and I have to say, I was sorely disappointed. The whole thing in general just didn't feel NEARLY as nice as an E90.

Infiniti G35 is an awesome car. I think IS350 and G35 is the only car
that can compete with bmw 3 series. They are made very well. I hope you purchase yourself a nice BMW and stay happy.

Welcome to the board. I'm very interested to hear how you compare your current ride to the BMW after you've had a chance to it sufficiently. I'm sure there are others that would be interested in some objective (and subjective) comparisons between the 2 from a real owner of both.
Thanks in advance & welcome again.

Welcome. I am at my second Bimmer and I'm sure you won't regret it. As for fiberglass kit, unfortunately, the potentiel to find more ricey with Jap cars (G35, Lexus and Honda) is a lot more higher than with Bimmer (not saying there are any though). People buying BM are usually more serious and will spend the dough required. Sure you get very nice and powerful cars for much less with Japs and USA made cars, but at the same time SOME people that buys them simply cannot afford the Bimmers so they put crappy stuff on their cars. A bummer because there are some really nice cars nonetheless ... but wait I do prefer the Bimmer ... maybe except for Porsche, but that's another story !
Welcome aboard...
