Question Is this a decent price?

I'm still looking for a decently priced 135i coupe and I ran across this one today. Does this seem like a descent price? Thanks for the insight.

2009 135i Coupe - 40,000 miles
Space Gray
Coral Red Boston Leather
Gray Poplar wood trim
Premium package
Ambient Light package
BMW Assist/Bluetooth
Automatic (yes, I want an automatic)
CPO until 11/2015

$25,989

Is it exactly what you want? When I'm in the market for a new car im always willing to spend a few extra $$$ to get exactly what I want. Otherwise, there will always be moments where I wish I got the alpine white, or look upon another 1er that has the sports package with envy.

Having said that, I'd say that's a decent price for car in this segment. Especially since us Canadians get raped on car prices for no discernible reason.

Edit: and I understand you're not Canadian, just wanted to point out that life is easier for Americans when it comes to mid to high range car buying

This is their current asking price pre-negotiation. My wife doesn't like the sport seats so not having them isn't a huge deal. The only thing it's lacking that I might miss are the heated seats. It's definitely my preferred color combination.

Haggle as much as you can. It's the end of the year. They will give you a good low price man. Good luck with the purchase!

Without sport package I'd try to get more off.

I guess it depends. I paid $27k for a 2008 two months ago. 37k miles, sport pack, cold weather pack, premium, ipod, 6mt. Just comes down to what you want.

Personally, I think the non sport seats suck and couldn't imagine owning a BMW without sport package, but YMMV. I would never consider a non sport pack car.

Definitely. I'm friends with the salesman so I think I'll be able to do alright. I plan on going by there tomorrow after work.

I've not tried a non-sport equipped car so I'm interested to see the difference. Since the wife doesn't like the sport seats I guess my options are limited.

I agree. I paid even more for a 2009 with 18k miles on it in June. But, it was exactly what I wanted, and I got to drive it all summer long. No regrets...

In June 2011 I bought a 2010 135i Msport Coupe as follows:

11000 miles (full factory warranty)
Alpine White
Paddle shift Selectronic
Cold Weather package
Sport seats
Black Vinyl interior
Sunroof
BMW Assist
iPod/Aux
Carbon fiber mirrors
Carbon fiber rear spoiler
Blackout M grilles

Bought from a Porsche dealer for $32000, about $12000 under list.

Would have preferred leather but it was not as important as having all the other features together.

If you get a car with an N54 engine be sure to check if the recall was performed on the High Pressure Fuel Pump.

I'm looking at the service history right now. What I see is:

- Belt pre-tensioner, Rear Lamps and Drive unit, front window regulators incorrect connection/contact @ 12,212
- front window regulators permanent failure @ 15,841
- HPFP failure and N54 Programming HDP @ 15,841

Outside of these three "issues", everything else that's listed are oil and brake fluid changes, microfilter replacement and wiper blades.

Also listed is the HPFP warranty extension to 10/120K and the turbocharger's emissions warranty extension to 8/82K.

The 2nd owner only had it 2 months and traded it in for a SUV at the Mercedes dealer where it is now.

The fact that you have the extended warranty in writing is a good thing. There was a class action lawsuit that produced those in settlement. I was told by the law firm that they tried to contact me and I didn't reply (?). As a result I was not included in the class and got no written warranty extension. When I bring up the settlement, dealers just shrug their shoulders.
