Excessive Sunroof Wind Noise
Hey hey everyone, I need a quick favor pretty please. I took my car in to have to work done on the sunroof. When the dealer returned the car to me, they failed to re-assembly the sunroof correctly. The deflector was missing, and there is now a much more pronounced wind noise coming from the sunroof.
Here is the favor I am asking. Would one of you please take some pics of your sunroof, so I can compare your pics to mine, to see what other parts they forgot to re-install. It would be best if you could take the pics with the sunroof about half open. The 2 areas I am concerned with are the area around the deflector, from above and kind of straight on. And also the edges of the sunroof itself, I wan t to see if there is a gasket around it that they forgot. Hope this all makes sense. And thanks in advance for your assistance. PS just as a note, I have already taken it back to the dealer to have them repair the deflector. I just want information before I go in there for my next visit.

No problem. Let me know if you need anything else. I'm an admin on a couple other BMW related sites, so being quick to help has become my second nature.

how does a competent dealer service department "forget" to reinstall something as simple as a wind deflector???? so this caused you another trip back to the dealer? I'd be pi$$ed.

Yeah, I think I'll be going elsewhere for warranty work.
