How did you find the pace of the 135i on a twisty track relative to the E46 M3? Were you using the stock Bridgestone Runflats?.

I was on the runflats and the M3 was lightened and on full slicks so it wasn't much of a contest. lol

Do you at least think your 135i had the potential to give a E46 M3 a decent run if you had better tires?

It was at Driveway Austin and was their L1 school. They didn't make us wear helmets until we took our timed laps at the end of the day. They do require you to wear helmets during their practice sessions.

If a 135 had that many mods and slick tires I'm sure it would give any M3 a run for its money.

Nice pictures. Do you have anymore of the car still? It looks lowered from the pictures. Your 135 looks really good.

Just a brief sidebar...How was your experience with the runflats? Did they hold up ok in the corners? Obviously they're not ideal, but I'd like to hear how they did.

Oh, and

I had no problem with keeping up with and passing e46 m3's on stock tires, thats not say that their aren't other variables at play here besides the cars. Also, the e46 m3's in my group were stockish.

Oh, and
Well I would say they are probably the weak link. They started off fine but they heated up in a hurry. The front tires started losing grip after only a few laps. They didn't show any strange wear or anything though.
