Every so often but not that frequently. Just so it can stretch its legs.

Every once in a while you just gotta wind it out. Good for the car and good for you. These cars love to be stimulated.

Every time I enter a highway during my commute and am lucky enough that it's not stop and go rush hour traffic, I consider that a sign to drop to second gear and redline the car.

Hmm... Have had the car since August... Don't recall redlining it ever. Is this a recommended activity?

If there is little to no traffic then there are some turns that i take as if I am in the DTM and redline from second to third or third to fourth!

Whenever I need to. Meaning IF I am ever in need of pushing the car (like prematurely and stupidly turning into a street where cars may be coming faster than calculated) I floor it and let off according to the situation. Also, when I am starting to get sleepy behind the wheel...redlining 2-3 or 3-4 is enough to wake me up.

EDIT: Of course, when I use launch control which I've only done 3-5 times.

Your mom sounds awesome! Is she still married? Never mind, I forgot for a second, I still am. No disrespect meant.

I redline whenever I feel like as long as oil is up to temp. It's really cold start, cold oil that wears the engine a lot. Redlining and driving hard at temp isn't a huge deal IMO. We didn't buy these cars to baby them to 200k. I'd rather enjoy the hell out of it till 150k.

Only when I make a mistake & shift late. Am used to having a shift light but don't have one in the new car.

I don't usually redline, but bounce it off 62-6500 repeatedly once up to temp, almost every day. Car loves the frequent oil changes too.

My normal shifts are at less than 3000 rpm. But sometimes circumstances demand a little quicker acceleration. I rarely go to redline but have bounced off the limiter a few times. Today I only went to between 5,000 and 5,500 a couple times. I also only get there in the lower gears. Redline in 2nd is 60mph. It's nice to feel it move quickly.
