I think the wing goes with the car. It makes it look meaner then it already does. I like the orange touches as well. Also digging the black wheels.

It looks great man. And since you do actually track your car also, it serves its purpose very well.
You need to get back to Germany again......

Why would you think that is ricer? I think it fits the car perfectly. This is the internet though, and keyboard warriors are always quick to be critical. Wonderful addition! Orange accents really make it different too!

Love the CF paintless area around the trunk license plate. Not my cup of tea, but the 1M will never be a subtle looking car and you've got the black rims and other blacked out areas, so the wing fits right in and just adds a little more aggression. Imo i's hard to overdue visual mods on a 1M. (So far iirc only that one dude in Singapore that visited a body & paint shop while his LSD trip had not worn out yet )

Sorry, I was not going to comment on this since I absolutely think the wing ruins the car but thats my own opinion, and since its negative i found no reason to voice it. But saying that, what the hell does keyboard warrior mean. He posted a pic some love some hate, i personally hate the wing but love everything else. No need to call others out on their opinions since he did post a picture of his car to get opinions of others which probably mean nothing to him since its his car which he drives. Regardless, to the OP I love the wheels and brakes would be my dream car minus the wing.

Yes agreed, thank god it serves a purpose and WOW it really comes on a m3 that means it must be AMAZING. Point being people are saying they do not like the way it looks, me included. As for performance, his track use/capabilities and whatever other car it comes off of (could be a Pagani or Bugatti) does not change the fact that for ME and MANY others find it ugly. So dont judge, a picture was posted which is a little extreme and as expected there will be positive and negative posts, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Again as for performance i do not doubt it helps.

Not a big fan of the wing but it seems to look better on white than VO.

I respect all opinions, I know that wings on BMWs always create lots of + and - reactions, so that was expected. Really though I've had more compliments in last couple of weeks than I ever expected. In person it really looks good and as Apex said, I do track it and one of my primary reasons to buy it. Notice I didn't install on my OEM lid... So an easy thing to reverse in the off season.
As a way to give all of you a gift for your participation in this social event, here is a screensaver worthy shot from a couple of nights ago....peace out!

That is a very cool photo. As long as you like it that is all that matters. I will say it is not necessarily to my taste, but I think that it would look better if you added an aggressive front lip/splitter to even it out. Also, I think that lowering the car an inch or so would complete the aggressive look you are going for.

i have always felt this style wing doesnt match the car... not sure it makes much sense to have a high rise wing functionally speaking... but, i like the idea of more aftermarket companies trying.

Big fan of GTS so I can see the wing; I would go back to all black and black out the fasteners tho--paint and bright work looks kinda low rent. Angle doesn't look right either, but maybe GTS goes for less DF.

OMG
For what it is worth, my "real car," the one I drive in any weather, is a 2015 Subaru WRX-STi, which comes with a hideous wing not too dissimilar from what is pictured in this thread. When I test drove it, the first thing that happened when we got onto the major street (Fairview Avenue) in Boise, Idaho, was that some punk teenager drove up alongside of me with his (forget what kind of shitwatgen it was) car and tried to drag race me. I did decide to buy the car, but only on the condition that their body shop amputate the wing before I picked it up.
Here is the result, my stealth STi: I guess you can say, whatever floats your boat :-) |

If you're doing constant high speeds, isn't it going to pell your trunk panel backwards?
I've seen way too many cars with GT wing's mounted on a thin piece of trunk panel deforming, even to the extent of the hinges lifting. |

You are right, thats why my next project is to beef up the rear CF and wing mounts...this wont be my daily driver configuration, just track package.
