Wheel fitment question - 19" 313 from 335is
Hi there,
I am looking to get a set of 313 style wheels for my 135i on stock M-sport suspension. I am aware that there are 18" 1-series fitments available, but I like the look (in particular, the concavity) of the 19" variation from the 335is. Will I be able to run these wheels without any modifications? For reference, the specs of the 19" wheels in question are: Front: 19x8 +37 225/35R19 MPSS Rear: 19x9 +39 255/30R19 MPSS Edit: Added fitment pictures in post #32 Last edited by OneWhite35; 05-14-2018 at 08:04 PM.. |

Nope. With some modifications, yes. Rolled fenders, E9x rear hubs, more camber up front to ensure a relatively rub-free ride on a lowered car.

Hi, I just bought the 18" variation for the e9x and placed them on my e82. I am experiencing rubbing on the rear.
My rear tyres are 255/35/18 MPS4. My suspension is stock, what solution would be best to stop the rubbing? rolling the fenders? |

You're 8mm off the perfect offset for the E82 1er. As long as you don't try to fit 235/265 tires, you can make it fit with camber and a really well done roll/pull. Best would be to get wheels with proper offsets, but these aren't so bad.

decre83 Just to double check, you're running 18x8 ET34 in front and 18x8.5 ET37 in rear?
1. What size are you running in the front? 2. Which part of the fender are you rubbing against in the rear? |

Hi @[OneWhite35] I am not 100% sure of the offset, but the 18" 313 wheels came off a e9x 3 series. And yes, the front is 18x8 and rear 18x8.5.
My tyre sizes are: 225/40/18 pirelli pzero nero front and 255/35/18 michelin PS4 rear. I don't quite know what part of the fender is rubbing against, but i'm almost sure its the side of the fender. I realy don't know what the solution would be, roll, change hub, change camber setting, etc. |

If I had to guess you're going to need at least -2 degrees camber and a fender roll. Don't think you'll be able to get away with one or the other.

decre83 - Pretty sure your rears are ET37 in that case.
You definitely need to roll fenders for sure. I test fitted a set of 19" 313s from E9x in the rear. Specs are 19x9 ET39 (4.4mm more aggressive than yours) with 255/30/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A RFT (basically the OEM runflats). I have stock M-sport suspension and my fenders rolled. When I had that set installed, I would rub even on medium sized dips. it was mainly against the bumper tab, where rear bumper attached to the rear quarter panel. I have ordered 245/30/19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and am planning to try those out with some camber in the rear. What's surprising to me is that your fronts fit without any rubbing. I test fitted the fronts 19x8 ET37 (3mm less aggressive than yours) on 225/35/19 Bridgestone RFTs and I experienced some rubbing on larger dips where the front bumper mounts to the front fender. Fenders in front are rolled as well. |

Suggest you put some chalk on the outer edge of your tires and/or some painters tape on the fender lip and drive around to gauge how significant the rubbing is. That's how I was able to pinpoint where it was rubbing and by how much. Some photos would help too.
If the rubbing is severe, then you may need to a combination of things to get rid of the rubbing. Be careful that it's not so severe that it will actually damage your bodywork. |

Possible solutions in order(ish) of difficulty/effort/reversibility
- More negative camber - Narrower tires (225/40R18 should fit fine on the 18x8.5 without looking too stretched) - Fender roll - Have wheel mounting pad machined down a few mm - E9X rear hub swap

I have style 189 on my car with only rolled fenders. No camber adjustment.
215 on front 245 on rear

Might be ok, but 225/40 all around would be better.
