Aftermarket Alarm Questions
Well, some lowlifes stole the wheels off of my 135i over the weekend. It's currently in the body shop in order to repair all of the damage they caused to make a few hundred bucks.
Anyway, I'm currently researching aftermarket options since the newer 135i's are not pre-wired for an alarm and have a few questions, hopefully this helps others as well since I can't find some of this information: * Are there any concerns to installing an aftermarket system? I see that a lot of them require an immobilizer bypass to be used in conjunction with the system; does this compromise the security that BMW put into the car in any way, or do they work in a secure manner? * Does anyone have a favorite or recommended option? All research I've done to this point is pointing me at a Viper system. Haven't found much luck showing an install of these; is it relatively clean / seamless? |

I'm having trouble sourcing the wiring/harness, or even finding out if my car is really compatible with the retrofit kit since my car was not pre-wired since it's a 2012. I'd prefer the stock one to have one keyfob if it was possible and the install not insane.

If you have to go with aftermarket, Might as well get Viper or Clifford, both r made from parent company DEI. I would add remote start with color LED remote. You can add lots of features with DEI
Good luck |
