First... very nice car! Me likes.

I think he (OP) was refering to a 911 NA (ie Carrera, not a turbo or GT2, 3 series). I have raced a few new Carerra's on the Autobahn. It is a close race. It all depends who gets on the gas pedal first - as the race is dam close. I think people are really surprised on how fast our little "ones" are indeed. I have raced from 80 mph to 140mph. After 140mph the 911's just kill us/me. The 135i seems to run out of oumph over that. And since we are limited to 155 mph and Porsche's aren't... they always get away from me, in the end.

I think with a "tune".... a 135i "would kill" a 911 NA. No doubt.

Btw... I have also raced an e92 M3 and a Weissman Coupe( its powered by the old e46 M3 engine) and the results were simular. All very close drags at speed. You know Germans only race from 100mph and up!

Looks like I will lose the "M" Badge! Will remove it today. By-the-way, I was at a BMW dealer (Vista BMW... claims to be "world's largest") because they never provided me with the locking lug nut, and I wanted to add my new wheels and tires. Three salespeople were searching my car for the missing locking lug, when a senior salesman showed up. They asked him 'Where's the locking lug stored on a 135i?" Seriously, he replied "Oh this is an M 135i, I don't know where on an "M."

I would appreciate suggestions regarding the best way to remove the M Badge. The Dinan representative suggested I buy a stop watch... said the car should do 0 to 60 somewhere in the 3's. Subsequently, I was wrong, and also think the "M" Badge was in bad taste! On the positive side, "I'm still a big kid!"

Hair dryer to get the adhesive soft, dental floss to cut it off, then a soft towel and some rubbing alcohol to remove whatever adhesive remains. Finally, wax the area b/c the alcohol will remove the wax.

And that's an amazing car you have -- thanks for sharing!

Did you upgrade the suspension, too?

Timing 0-60 on your stop watch is pointless and dangerous. I'd buy a g-tech or accelerometer device. Alternatively if you have an iphone you can download dynolicious or a similar app.

Do as he says...but instead of alcohol, use windex than rub with water and soap with a soft cloth.

Dinan customers always seem very proud of wasting thousands of dollars.

Try the classifieds section to sell parts.

Dinan bashers always seem very proud of making negative comments. I think it's a self perpetuating cycle, perhaps.

De-badged the M and the 135i badges. Also will eliminate the M license plate frame. Ordered a Flat Black Powdered plain frame with the wide bottom. Thanks for all your help!

The cars you are comparing yours to are benchmarks in being ultimate "total packages". It seems that you are drinking too much Dinan juice.

It's a great car you have and you should be rightly proud of it, but in anything but a pencil straight road, you're gonna look foolish against your comparo cars.

Nice but few things I'd do. Just do full debadge, remove the M, try to get the old side mirrors (elephant ears not so pretty) and perhaps some amber goners?

Your 402 HP is measured at the crank and is likely inflated. I would suggest you hit the dyno. Otherwise you have a gorgeous ride minus the M badge crap.

I like Dinan products, but the OP is quite misinformed. Seems like all he did is read the marketing. I have the same mods and the car definitely doesn't eat M3's for breakfast nor does it run anything near 4 seconds flat or below.

No more M badge, infact, I de-badged the car except for the BMW badge.

good tuning, but i'd rather do tht on a 6MT.
really don't like the phrases "XXX can eat XXX for breakfast" comments...i mean i'm pretty sure someone's ek9 civic turbo with K20 motor can eat your 135i for night snack...
nice clean tuning though
