I think Advan RZ's are one of the best choices. They fit 225/255 f/r tires perfectly (8"/9" wide f/r) and have the right offset for the 1 series so no modifications are needed. The wheels are pricey, though.
APEX ARC-8 seem to be a good choice too and are even wider (8.5"/9.5" f/r) but you may need some additional mods to fit larger tires. I think someone did 255/275 f/r but I don't know if this would work well on bumpy real-world roads. Breyton GTS-R are a popular choice too but are a bit narrower at 7.5"/8.5" f/r. They will still fit 225/255 f/r without problems. |

Wheels are up to personal preference. If you go style, stick with a size on the forums that you've seen someone do that works with no issue. If you want traction and rubber, ARC-8's are the way to go. They're not the sexiest wheel by far, but are gaining a lot of popularity at AutoX and track events for being relatively lightweight, the correct offset, and relatively inexpensive. |

I think a 235/245 front and 265 rear is a fantastic track street combo. Some people like the square set up but I found 245 in the rear too little for proper track (not autocross).
Apex are great options, but looks are so/so. Forgestar makes excellent wheels, light weight and offsets to your specs without breaking the bank. I believe they are owned by Iforged. Jlevi offers killer deals on the Forgestars. |

Probably the most important thing to consider is the offsets. 1 series coupes have high offsets, but there are a bunch of dealers out there who will try and sell you wheels with lower offsets that were not made for the 1. Depending on the width and you're willingness to do a number of other mods, you might make a lot of things work, but there are always guys finding out that the combination wheel and tire they bought create problems they didn't expect so be sure to ask around before you spend a couple of grand.

[QUOTE=fboutlaw;9867637]You do need camber plates in the front to run the 255/275... and a dremel, but it's worth it. PSS tires and a lot of them = <3 I use them for daily driving and events. They do track a bit on the highway due to the camber I run, but it's the best setup that I've used to date and I've tried a few.
