Yep, from my understanding there are no known issues with the idrive compatibility. The trim design on US 1 Series (E82, E88) vehicles should be the same.

Thanks! And what's the install like for the ash tray cover? Seems like every other piece pops off easily? But i'm not sure about that one.

Correct. All of the other trim pieces pop off using a trim removal tool. The ashtray requires a little bit more time and effort, as other parts of the center console must first be removed to reveal the screws holding it in place.

I believe there was a DIY guide on this forum somewhere.
