Fitment question
I've had a brand new wheel sitting in the box for 6 months now. I think it's time to finally swap it with the curb rashed one. I don't want to take the bimmer to the tire mounting shop because I don't like how they jack up the cars from the differential & leave it there with no supports for an hour.*
I want to bring the wheels to them to do the swap and leave the car at home. I have a set of bbs rx2's sitting around from my old e36. It's 18x8.5, 38 offset with 225/40/18 s03's. Will this wheel fit on the front of the car with enough clearance just to drive it in & out of my garage, while I get the tires swapped? Also, will I need any new hardware(washers, etc.) *for the tpms when they pull the tire off the original wheel? I want to swap all hardware to the new wheel.*

those wheels wont be ideal, but will be totally fine to move the car. you could even drive it, though it will probably rub in the rear. the tpms are totally reusable, and you won't need any additional pieces, but tell them to be careful taking your old tires off... it's easy to break a tpms sensor.
good call not bringing your car to the tire shop. nobody touches my car! haha |

8.5 +38 with a 225 would work fine front and rear but it will be pretty flush.
