A little late, but here you go.

I know the thread is a bit exhibitionist, but it's pretty cool to see how "we all livin'".

nikki,

Nice sofa. Looks comfy. You definitely need a wall mounted plasma for that living room though.

petercat,

The house goes nicely with the bimmer. How about some interior pics?

Why don't you post some pictures of your place instead of criticizing other people's personal taste?

Well I just got those curtains and they are very nice in person. They do look kind of funny in the pictures but in real life they are a medium thickness velvety blue. They feel like the microfiber couch....like suede/velvet kind of.

I think your place is fine. Save your money for the down payment of your own house. Why throw away your hard earned money now?

I wouldn't take this guy too seriously, read some of his other posts for ample evidence that he's a jackass.

That said, I don't think your place is ugly (take my opinion for what it's worth).

Since you ask for improvement suggestions... I'll give you my 2 cents worth.

I really like your choice of sofa and ottoman, but the TV and all the stuff around it are way too big and high for that room. I'd try to lower/shrink that whole setup somehow. Either get a smaller tv or get a plasma or LCD and wall mount it (are you renting? - maybe a bad idea if that's the case). The mirror is nice too, I like it.

Your boyfriend's desk would be the other point I would look at. A nice chair and a desk with some drawers somewhere to put the computer/printer so they were out of sight would reduce the clutter.

What, positive remarks and suggestions? I think maybe you mean posts like the one above. I've had negative remarks about my place, it doesn't make me not want to post pics of it.

Agreed! I just had a look at some and I could't believe what I was reading! What a wally!

Anyway Nikki, I think your place looks really comfy. The kind of place you go home to and put your feet up (that is, if you're allowing feet on your new couch?) At the end of the day, you're the one who has to live there so if you're happy then that's all that matters.

tomwid, that photo reminds me of my student days. well almost... they seem to all be a blur

Well big pieces like a new tv and cabinets or new computer desk and chairs I am not going to purchase now. We're renting and only planning on staying here for another year or two so there is no point in buying a bunch of huge items that will simply cost money and effort to ship cross country (looking at Arizona or Norcal). It took me long enough to convince myself to get a new couch, but we really did need one I think. I was just wondering if there were any small things I could fix cheaply. I'm not going to run out and get a plasma when I could be saving that money for a downpayment on a house.

Oh, yeah if you're renting and not planning on staying long I wouldn't bother. I was just giving you the "if it were my place" 2 cents worth.

I'd welcome the same input on my place, I just did the furniture in the bedroom so I'll post a few pics later. Plus the pics I posted are from a few months back so there have been a few changes here and there.

Here you go with some interior shots...

And here's a pic of my boy for Bella... She seemed to like the petercat before.

I was a bit afraid to post to this thread because as longtran was concerned about negative or uncomfortable comments. It's tough to say anything too harsh about anyone's home because we are all in different parts of our lives with different priorities. The one thing we all have in common is that we made our e90's one of our priorities.

Too bad your car is in Germany, it would be great for you to visit and we could run them down highway 61 or something.
Hopefully next summer I will be able to motivate other e90/Bimmer guys in the area to get together.

sorry.
