OT: what happens to demos before you buy them

Makes you wonder... I'm not sure that prospective buyers driving demonstrators from a dealership treat them any better. I know I don't.

many years ago I know someone who bought an E36 M3, that was 'ex demo'.... he was flicking through an old copy of Motor magazine, and there was his car (same number plates) on 2 wheels going around Calder Park - it was an ex-press car.
I also know of a couple of people who's 'executive driven' MINI's were ex Driver Training cars.

i thought it was pretty good. maybe its not just a rumour that germans (and bmw dealers) have no sense of humour!

'Executive driven' usually means 'track day special'.
