He's not lying. I know him personally, good guy and honest. He doesn't need attention by posting some random junk online.

Thank god I got connections, Ill be getting one for Invoice!

Some Audi Chip tuners that make monster chips that get 20-40 HP out of a turbo A4 2.0 and 1.8's need to look into getting some HP out of the 335. Since they detuned the hell out of the turbo engine since they didnt want to exceed the out put of a V8.

I just can't seem to undertand why BMW fans who appreciate the most beautiful natural aspired engine design in history are now wanting their BMWs to feel like a Evo or Subaru ? Mathematically, 5.4s means 5.4s , no matter how hard you can pull your car, it does not help.

Oh yeah another thing...this source...who customizes BMW's for a living...said that MTM and a few European chip tuners are already working on solutions on cracking valvetronic for the 335...

Chip tuners are estimating 380hp and 400lbs with an ECU flash...

Thanks Art for backing me up....I'm glad you never gave me that test drive and made me order the 330...glad I waited for the 335...and at invoice is insane...

I'm only getting 500 over INV...

See you soon man

And another thing...BMW's 0-62 time is 5.3 seconds. For my E46 330Ci, they said 6.4 seconds. However every independent car magazine put my 330 at 5.9 seconds. You guys will be surprised when you see a Car and Driver or a Road and Track review on the car....You may just see 5.0 or even 4.9...

Maybe it's because BMWs used to drive like the Evo once upon a time, and some enthusiasts still yearn for those days? Not that monster horse power will bring thhose days back.

The BMW enthusiasts will get the NA V8 M3 E90. I am sure the turbo will be fun too.

I reckon the stock 0-60mph time will be around 5.2seconds, however, after a remap I bet it will be around 4.7seconds.
Now that makes it one serious motor!

306BHP and 400Nm isn't exactly monster-like. It's what u are used to drive. I was used to drive a E46 M3.

I' ve driven a 380BHP/500Nm Mitsu EVO 8MR:fast car.
Just like the TVR Griffith 500:1100kgs, 340BHP, 500Nm.
Audi RS6 450BHP twinturbo V8idn't feel REALLY fast at all, just fast.

335i won't be a killer. Just a very very good car.

When I had my E46 M3, on a trackday I drove a 996 turbo automatic:Very good car. Just fast 420BHP.But not lightning fast compared to the M3. But u're getting used to BHP within 1 week, atleast I am

Agreed one week is enough to find out a 300hp car is slower than many cars on the road. The new S500 2 tons of weight is also doing 5.3s. E92 will be just another non M nice BMW for sure.

Never drove a turbo without a lag. That will be new if it has none. Wonder what the fuel economy will be? Will be interesting. I wouldn't want a first year of that one though. I need reliability and that may only be good for a second car at first.

Agreed, all turbos have lag, I have a 535d which has sequential turbos and even that still has lag.

Reliability won't be an issue though, no more than any other BMW anyway.

Who the heck wants a damn turbo on their BM?

I've just sold my Audi A3 2.0 turbo, which was re-mapped by REVO to 265bhp / 301lbft. Just a uninspiring turbo engine really.

Don't forget, with a turbo you'll loose all those wonderfull normally aspiriated noises - no more intake resonance due to the pressurisation, no more exhaust howl due the muffling of the turbo.

NA all the way!!

FYI-the 335 uses the same block as the e46 330i-NO VALVATRONIC ON THE 335-read bmw's liturature.
Also, no price list, yet. You can say anything you want and make all kinds of claims, but without proof--It does not mean anything.

just because it's back to aluminum doesn't mean it's the same block design as an E46. It's an N54 vs M54, is it not? Sounds like a different series of engine to me.

my point was that it is not the "new" engine block as on the E90 and does not use valvatronic. Also read the post "inside line drives the new 335i engine" And also http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm...ngine-in-depth

yeah I've read those. just because it's not using Valvetronic and is an aluminum block does not mean it's the same thing as E46 330 M54 block. Why is it called N54 then?

Block construction is the same (not trying to be argumentative) the N54 is based on the M54 not the engine in the E90, that's my point.
Also, to refute that the guy who started this post and his tuner friend who either don't have a clue or are blowing smoke at all of us or both.
