I think we have another pic in the DIY from some distance. The pics don't pick it up as well as in person. It looks really good hidden behind the grills. Reminds me of brembo brakes behind a high spoke rim. Can only see a hint of red. The black you can barely see at all.

Has anyone tested these scoops in heavy rain ? I am thinking what happens if you drive behind a vehicle kicking out loads of spray, will it get sucked into the engine bay ?

I was thinking about cutting the current plenum where it starts to curve back towards where the old intake sat... b/c right now the air is going in and behind the intake...

I think if you cut it would help out a little..

anyone try this yet?

I actually PM'd Anthony after I saw this and got the following response:

"The reason for this is very simple. The design and fabrication of the 135i scoops is WAAAAAAAY more complex and time consuming than the 335i. Which is obvious that no other company has gotten a set too work for the 135i yet."

I was assuming the answer would be something like this, but it's always good to hear it.

+1 The design of the 335i is a very simple design. The 135i there is no place to bolt it so we had to make it "clip" in the side as you can see on the DIY. For the 335 its very easy just drill 4 holes and it fits in with 4 bolts. Notice how all these other companies had scoops before us however they can't seem to get them to fit on the 135i yet? That's because the design is very complex. Even though the design is harder the install is easier hence the price difference. As you can see by AFE pricing at 169 and they don't even fit yet. I believe we are fairly priced. Thank you! Happy Halloween!
