HD alternator

My window sticker lists "stronger electricity supply". The dealer demos did not list this. I ordered everything but: active steering, HD radio and Sirius. I am wondering what option triggered this (or combination of options). Anyone else notice this?

Not sure if I'm right, but there are a lot of electrical components/equipments even in our small 1er. A heavy duty alternator might be necessary to run all those things. Also, with rumors going around with our 1er having an energy return system (from the brakes), would that warrant a HD alternator?

I'm thinking the NAV might require it, over a car w/out it.

Anybody without the NAV that still has it listed?

None of the above - it's a 'clutched' alternator, part of the EfficientDynamics package.

it says on my winder sticker (i don't have nav) that i have "stronger electricity supply"
might be standard on 135i?
or, maybe if you order the premium audio? (which i have)

The 1-series alternator is a regular alternator.
