Yesterday I got mine yesterday, and done it in 10 sec.. I definitely I recommend it. It feels like e46 m3s clutch now. No issues whatsoever on the start up.

Thanks guys, I just swaped the sucker as recommended here and what a difference! Cheap mod and very easy. All of sudden my world makes sense again.

Swapped mine tonight and I love it. The clutch feels much more responsive. Everyone should do this mod. It is super-easy. I'm not technical and I did it in 5 min at 11pm after coming back home from vacation from 10 hrs of flying. Very easy mod.

Installed this and love the feel of it but I too need to depress the clutch a little harder for it to start. Is this bad for the clutch? If so I may just shave the rubber stopper a bit.

it's not bad for teh clutch. if it was causing any wear on the clutch or transmission, the car wouldn't start initially

I noticed that there's no more jerking in between shifts, it's very smooth now but also noticed it's like that even when your punching it and I don't get the jerk your head, throw you back in your seat experience anymore and I guess that's my only gripe about it.

I had indicated that my car does not start unless I press down on the clutch hard. I have to give it extra force to flatten the rubber on the clutch stop a bit in order to get it started.

initially, i did have to "seat" the clutch stop on the first start up. it has been fine ever since, however, and my car starts up normally without any clutch-depression issues

Just did this. I love it. Took me longer to get my shop light hooked up and dragged over to the car than to swap out.

After 2 min. install my car won't start unless I really push down hard on the clutch. I'll give it a few days to get used to the feel but so far I am unsure about whether I will keep it.

Just put mine in, after reading this thread I didn't even look for my trouble light and just reached up behind the clutch pedal. Ripped out the old one and stuck the new one in. Couldn't be simpler, works great.

I seated it with a hard push on the clutch and I don't have any trouble starting at all.

Thanks!!!

Still having trouble starting the car even after really pushing the new stop in. With service appt. tomorrow I pulled it out to replace the OEM version. Well, it won't fit any more because the new stop enlarges the mounting hole slightly. Only solution was to cut about an 1/8" off the rubber base and reinstall. It now no longer fits as snug as before but it works for now. Pain in the butt mod, not sure it's worth it IMO.

There is no way the clutch stop can cause a lack of acceleration.
What you may be experiencing is that now you may have to adjust your shift/throttle timing. It's possible that what you experienced before is that you were too quick on the throttle before the clutch was fully engaged, so you got some revs before the clutch engaged, and that gave you what you think is harder accel. But, what that is is not smooth, and really not the right way to shift. I don't mean that to be derogatory. Sometimes people explain things about their manual trans that I too have experienced, long ago when I first learned how to and how not to drive a manual. I say that cautiously as maybe you're experiencing some issue with your trans and/or engine, and you drive a manual just fine.
Again, I don't mean that as an insult, just as some advice that might help.

Adjust your throttle timing, you now have all the same power, just delivered smoother. Done right you should still feel the same strong accel, with less "jerking" forward, which is to be avoided anyway.

No trouble starting the car at all, worked fine from the moment I installed the stopper.
