BMW CCA: High Performance Driving School at NHMS [07/08-07/09/2012]
http://www.boston-bmwcca.org/events/...px?EventID=580 - Registration Closes July 1st
This is a super fun track with a decent straight away. If it's your first time, you will have an instructor with you to guide you through taking on this track. "The student will be placed in our novice run group for the entire day and will be assigned a mentor to help acclimate them with the activities throughout the day." Who's going? I just registered for the Saturday event. SATURDAY - DSCPLN, 1M - The Red Baroness, 135i SUNDAY - Last edited by DSCPLN; 07-02-2012 at 08:35 AM.. |

Stumbling around trying to get a last minute helmet for track.. found this one at a local shop (Riverside Motorsports in Somerville) for $189:
- http://www.hjchelmets.com/prds_is16.htm but it doesn't say anything about SNELL 2005 Certified. Will this pass? How strict are they with the helmets? |

Damn, I was trying hard to get out to this, but I just couldn't pull it together. Would have been my first track event. Oh well, I'll make the next one.
DSCPLN, why not the CL-16 helmet? It says SNELL certified and it's a little cheaper it looks like. I had one when I had a bike, it's not bad. |
