When wiil you do the first oil change?

When did you do your first oil change or if you just got your car when do you plan to do the first change? I'm going to do the first one myself but can decide at how many miles. I'm thinking maybe at 5K or at the end of the summer. My car is 3 weeks old.

Change it right after break-in and you can't go wrong. Make sure to keep a record of all your oil changes in the service booklet. Your car might end up to be worth more because of all the (recorded) maintenance you've done. I know that if I were buying a used BMW, a log of all the maintenance performed would be a big

I'm planning to do one at 2K and have it sent off for analysis.

only have 456 miles on ours. just got it last saturday, with only
3 miles on delivery. plan to change out the oil at 1,000 - 1,200 miles.
And I'll probably follow a 7,500 mile interval from that point.

Haven't priced what the Phoenix area dealer's charge for the change
just yet. Maybe I'll do it myself.

I just changed mine at 3500 miles, oil looked clean. Will do it again every 5000 miles

I got my first oil change at 7000k when I went to get the mp3 retrofit.

Got my oil change today @ 2800 miles and it looks pretty dark, I think oil change right after break in period is good for the engine.

I just got mine changed at 14000 but moving forward I'm probably going to change it myself every 5-7K and get the free ones as they come up in the cycle.
