Key programing - 130i

After a repair at a BM dealership I lost all my coding off my main key. When I used the spare key by chance ( the one they had) all my stuff was back.
What gives
How do I copy settings across keys? The main one that's missing is the 3 blinks on touch of indicator and doors opening all at once on unlock. I guess I can use the spare going fwd but hoping there is something simple

Unlock the doors with the key without the coding. Put it in the dash and start the car.
Change the settings on the via the config on the left hand stalk.
