BMW Performance Suspension comfort?
Naturally, most of you with the BMW PS did not get it with comfort as the top priority. Nevertheless, I'm curious how those of you who have it would rate it for daily-driving comfort. I obviously expect it to be stiffer with more vibration transfer over stock, but hopefully better damped and not bouncy.
How would you compare to the stock ride? Does the wife/girlfriend complain about the ride? (your most likely source of a second opinion ) thanks |

I would say my bmw 135i with non runflat tires and the bmw ps is more comfortable than it was with the stock suspension and the run-flats. I think the the runflats were overly stiff and the suspension was too soft to compensate. The combined effect didn't work well on the short wheel base.
I also highly rec the rear subframe bushings to get rid of the pogo bounce. |

I wonder if 225/255 on my summer Breyton set wouln't cause problems at the outside with the Performance Suspension. Breytons are front:7.5-18 ET45 and rear:8.5-18 ET49

I thought the stock m-sport suspension was ok until I got the Performance suspension. Stock is probably pretty good for the average person but I wanted more. BMWP is night and day from stock and I've had no complaints from any of my passengers that have experienced before and after. They say the new setup is better and I completely agree. The same bump spots on the road that would make me endo are no more. I think its more comfortable than stock. It definitely passes the gf test. I'm not saying its the best suspension setup but its hell of a lot better than stock. Fyi I'm running the 28mm m3 front bar and 18x8.5/9.5 rims with 225/255. hope this helps |
