So here's the details....these enclosures will take me approx 3 days minimum each to make (unfortunately my full time job gets priority). They will pretty much be made as they are ordered. The base of the enclosure is made of 3/4" MDF while the sides are made out of fiberglass cloth/mat. The speaker ring will be made out of 3/4" MDF as well (unless your sub requires 1" ie. JL W7).

Here's what you'll be getting....

-Custom fiberglass 10" sub enclosure wrapped in black/grey carpet (very close to the same color as the trunk carpet in our 1ers). Painting can be done as well for a bit extra.
-Enclosure mounting hardware
-Mounting instructions

To order one, PM me your name, address, email address, & subwoofer setup. Paypal is the only method of payment unless you're local & want to pay in cash.

Here's my setup with the JL 10" W6 in my trunk.

I can't figure out how to PM you.. for some reason it doesn't work but I do want this box.
Can you please contact me via email? charleskline@mac.com

I picked up one of TPLSM3's sub enclosures a few years ago and was extremely happy with the results. I don't think you can fit a 12" woofer in the available space, but I could be wrong. In addition, I doubt the enclosure has enough volume for a 12" (even though it is sealed). It's almost perfect for a 10w6, and run with a JL 500/1 you can easily overpower the rest of you system.

BTW... You guys need at least 5 posts before you can send PMs. So get posting!

Hey Thanks For the info ! some questions for you
How easy was it to install the TPLSM3's enclosure?
10w6 with 500/1 amp , How is the bass?
I just installed 2 RF prime 300W RMS and 500w mono amp and to be honest it sounds ok nothing great. Bass is too boomy.

And again THANKS!!

The install of the enclosure is very easy. You will need to remove the driver side trunk liner. This is very simple. Remove the trunk floor, remove the black plastic trim that covers the back of the trunk (2 screws and 2 plastic pop rivets), pull off the trunk gasket on the driver side, and remove 3 plastic pop rivets that hold the driver side trunk liner to the car. Once this is done, you can remove the trunk liner. The enclosure is molded to fit perfectly against the trunk liner. TPSLM3 drilled 3 small hole in the enclosure and provided 3 small bolts that you use to fasten the enclosure to the trunk liner. After the liner and enclosure are attached to one another, install the speaker (and don't forget to run the speaker wire out of the back of the enclosure). The hole for the 10w6 was pre-cut, and the enclosure has a 1" think high density particle board mounting ring. Once the speaker is installed, reinstall the liner and enclosure by reversing the process above.

As for the sound... The 10w6 and 500/1 can be a bit of an overkill if run with the stock system. I had to turn the gain down and play with the crossover point and attenuation on the amp. If I remember correctly, I had it set to 80 Hz and 12db of attenuation. With this setting, the sound was much more full and gave the impression of being much louder. If it seems boomy, set the attenuation to 24db and play with the crossover point. The speaker is very capable of hitting all but the lowest bass. I have since replaced the remaining speakers and have added an MS-8 digital processor in an attempt to perfect the sound. The good thing about the 10w6 and 500/1 setup is that it will significantly improve the sound, but has plenty of excess capacity if you feel the need to go further.

I just found out that it'd be a different 'mold' for the convertible, so can't play with y'all. Unless - is someone who wants one of these, with a convertible, near Orlando? Perhaps we can get TPLSM3 to create one off your car and make it available. Would love one of these!

Just got a 2009 135i, my first BMW, and I love it so far. My only complaint is the bass from the stock system. Just wondering if these enclosures are still being made. Can't PM yet unfortunately, but I'm working on it. First post!

Sarge - is your ride a vert or hardtop? If vert, I'd love to have him make 2 so I can buy one. Heck, I'm sure he can sell a bunch if we can just get one car over there to fit/finish.

The enclosure looks great!

I went with Focal 100VRS fronts, Focal PC100 rears, JL XD700/5 amp, and Earthquake SWS-8 subs. Sounds amazing!
