DIY: reset maintenance light on 1M?

It is not specific, it's the same process as 2011 135i.

i used this link... but honestly i think the reason i was having an issue was that the steps werent that clear. in many of these videos they are showing menu screens i wasnt getting. think i ended up in a deeper menu. however, i figured it out just based on the basic idea.
step1)
put key in.
step2)
put to on position
step3)
right when you see that red indicator for service press and hold the little odometer reset button. do this for about 5-10 sec or until the menu pops up
step4)
hit the BC button and scroll till you see the oil indicator function. once you see that just confirm the "reset" action by hitting the other button (not the BC)


done.
