Sorry for the long time between updates.
Thanks to all that enquired about parts, they were sold in one lot. We've finished building the customer car, and had a shakedown test. A pink Donut King car. This weekend we are racing both cars in the AMC Round 1, 4 Hour Race at Phillip Island. looking forward to taking the car around Phillip Island. On line you can watch on Sunday from 12.55pm AEST. www.thenationals.com.au Also an on board lap of Bathurst at our website www.brucelynton.com go to Motorsport page. |

This is an amazing thread. Well done with the car!
I recently joined a custom forza league using spec bmw 1m's, and did a quick google search for "bmw 1m race car" and yours was the first hit that I really liked! So I've been campaigning a virtual version of the car - thought the OP would enjoy that! Wow can't believe that I only just found this thread.
It seems as though my 'new' interior has a lot of history to it. Explains some of the dents in the interior door cards Spent a good 8 hours stripping out the old and putting in the 'new' interior . Say hi to Tina for me! |

Front 245/40/18's. This weekend in IPRA we are running 255 rears as we have to run narrower rims. |

Thanks for posting yet another great video of your 1M race car. That race was a hell of a climb from way behind. My favorite moment is 6.44 on, when you brutally past in between the two cars ahead of you just before a turn, I was telling to myself "no he won't dare" and you did

thats very small and you lose a lot grip to a 265/35/18 or 265/40/18 which easyly fits on a 9 or 9.5x18 rim and reduce understear and enlarge grip by far and best combo on track use, especially with a 295/30/19 on the rear. Even 275/40/18 is possible on front and rear with a 10x18ET25 Rim with front -3 degress chamber and short race springs, very tight but works. That's my tip for a square setup with maximum grip. Video: wow between the 2 at 6:44, you have big corchones

first of all... nice driving! that was a fun video to watch. also #2, if i am understanding this correctly, you saved this crashed 1M and turned it to a race car. correct? if so that is awesome. these cars deserve to be on a track. however, i dont feel comfortable doing that with a street car that isn't crashed first. they are just so rare. in any case, bravo!
