just installed TCKline coilovers and Vorshlag camber plates :)
ok so i'm getting really close to finishing this car and spending all my energy just driving it. second of all this car is absolutely incredible...
its honestly weird that the car actually turns now. i can't wait to take it to the track and see how it behaves but i can tell you already that you can really feel the front end bite into the pavement. there is zero and i mean zero body roll. i've got 350# front springs and 700# rear springs and the shocks are setup pretty plush right now. i'll crank them down for the next track session and see how much of a difference that makes. i'll save my energies for a review of this after the track next week but all i have left to do is an intercooler and stage 2 software when thats released, totally stoked!

that's a nice setup! my mechanic's shop who runs two cars in the continental tire series under Insight tells me that's what I should get for my next set of coilovers. he told me not to bother with AST or anything else. can't wait to hear your review.

i will get it corner weighted and aligned next week, we did a quick alignment after installation to adjust toe up front and camber. -1/16" in on each side and almost maxed out negative camber with the vorshlag plates.
just got back from a long road trip with 4 people in the car. car drives straight as an arrow, extremely comfortable, i don't think they could tell the suspension wasn't stock at all. got a chance to go around a few u turns at slow speed yesterday and immediately noticed the incredible increase in bite up front. you can get on the throttle a whole lot earlier and harder now without pushing the front end into the next lane. rear end is still sticky and isn't oversteering any more than it did before. again this is all street driving, i thought the m3 vert front swaybar was awesome on the street but absolutely sucked on the track. i took a higher speed underpass u turn yesterday as well to see what it felt like at 50 and again its got a really strong bite up front. i can't wait to take it to the track i really cant... unfortunately my kumho xs's are being warrantied right now on my stock wheels that i use for the track and i finished off my yokohama s drives on my vmr vb3's this week after a good 50 miles on the track before i installed the coilovers, all i can do is wait for the kumho's so i can order tires for the vmr's... this is an expensive hobby i need a tire sponsor

Did you get the single or double adjustables? I have the singles and the top of the front struts have been rubbing on the strut braces. Prob put some washers on mine to give some breathing room, but was curious if you did anything.
Also agreed that the front camber gives crazy amounts of added grip. I'm running 245 kumho xs's up front and it blew my mind over stock! |

Those are good rates for the SA Koni's, anything more, you will need to revalve them or get the DA's. |

Not to doubt you or anything but how is the ride still anywhere near decent with rates like that. I'm thinking of doing the bmws springs and koni fsd's so I get a decent ride but a bit stiffer.
I've only been to the track once and feel like it is 10x more fun on my cbr so I just take that. My car is for the street but you saying the ride is good makes me more interested in coil overs. I need to be near stock height bc of entry and departure angles where I live. |

I haven't had a single person notice the car was lowered that wasn't a performance enthusiast. I'm sure if I changed from the soft stock bushings you would be able to notice a ride quality change. With the struts adjusted to soft rebound it truly feels close to stock. Gotta love bmw design.
I'm really close to stock ride height as well. The rear is a little lower and i have hit 2 speed bumps in the last month. With coilovers the height adjustment is up to you.

stock cross brace blocks you from adjusting the rebound on the front struts... and with vorshlag camber plates the cross brace has to be shimmed to clear.
