first accident...
So I got into my FIRST accident today... HURTS
First I wanted to ask other 1'ers opinion on damage. Damages I can tell right now are MY WHOLE DRIVER SIDE! Front bumper to rear bumper... Axle is broke.. and any other internal damage is unknown... Door and trunk won't close at all.... that is all I know for now. Second, Does having BMS intake(Im in cali) cause problem with insurance company or BMW collision center? Lady ran red light and hit me... I was the 3rd car in line and just cant figure out how I GOT HIT NOT 2 CARS IN FRONT OF ME. good thing is no one is really hurt besides me.. MY BABY!! NO!!!!!!!! and sorry about picture lay out.. dont really know how to organize this stuff |

Sorry to hear about your accident... I know the feeling... More times than you'd know.
Hmm, pretty extensive damage... I think it might be a total.

Why? The only thing might be that if you're totaled, insurance might not cover it unless you produce receipts.

unless you pay your insurance extra they wont pay to replace it if you need a replacement. they'll give you the money for the OEM one though, which is probably more anyway.

Nobody cares about your intake man, don't worry about it. Sorry for your loss (that car is done), at least you're OK.

Don't worry about intake, makes no difference.
Hope for a total honestly. Almost definitely some frame damage. Good luck. Just happened to my evo X not long ago, sadly mine was NOT totaled. |

So i guess you guys are going for "total".... I loved this car and I can't believe its going away like this....I had so many plans!!!
Now Im starting to think about my next car. 1. another 135i(6MT, if i can find one again...) 2. M235i (at least its something similar....) 3. 335i 4. just get something under 20k until M2 or wait for something just as good as 135. I want to stay driving manual but I do live in LA and get annoying sometimes. Just can't decide if I want auto or not.. Also thinking about S4 but the gas is baaaad. What would you guys suggest? I do care about my gas so no trucks or anything like that.. LOL |

Another 1er dead. Sorry about your car, but seeing as you are OK, you can always get another one. I'd lay money on frame damage on it, and if that's the case I'd be happy if they total it.
I'd hop into another 135i, try to get one before July 1st.

Really glad you're not badly hurt. Go to a chiropractor ASAP. I was also recently the victim of an idiot driver and my car's still in the shop, but the most important thing is making sure your body is ok. Whiplash symptoms might not seem severe at first, but it can really mess you up if you don't get yourself fixed up.
As for the car, probably frame damage, it's definitely totaled. On the low end of an estimate, based on what my estimate was with similar, but less severe damage, I'd say minimum $15k, but probably more. She's gone... Either M235, M2, used Cayman, S3 once it's out...
