Why an S4 over an S5? Same interior. However, I can tell you from experience, I had a 2008 135, then a 2011 S5, and now am back in a 135is and am so much happier. |

Sorry to hear about the wreck.
That 4.2 liter V8 in the S4 does sound really good. I personally just never really got into Audi styling, reminds me of the parent company VW. Plus all of the complaints on electronic gremlins steered me away. +1 for used Porsche Cayman

I'd say go drive one, but think you'll come back wanting another 135 and it'll feel like a boat, too. |

I heard the S5 had some issues and didn't want to deal with having to take it in every other week. |

Sorry to hear about your car and glad to hear you're ok! If your car is totaled than you can decide what to get but i will say that my brothers B8 S4 is almost undefeated to all N54 335 and 135 he has raced only two have managed to get a win on his car, i still haven't gotten a run on his car yet. :/

I really love the styling of S4 and always had a thing for audi. Going for S4 because I want a 4 door just for the space and since s4 looks more like a sleeper compare to s5. But 135 is a real sleeper for sure.... oh and can you please tell me why you like 135 over s5? |

After the newness of the new S5 wore off for me, I realized the drive was a little numb and I never quite felt as connected to it as I did the 135. I liked the smaller, nimbler, crazy brute feel of the 135 as it felt more emotional and visceral. Drive them both, see what you think, though I know the reality is all you'd really want is to be back in YOUR car. |

Also sucks. It just feels like a regular boring sedan.

Yeah true....i just mentioned RS4 because it's a bit rare in the USA. (I test drove 2 before picking up the 135i.....the RS4 is probably a tad faster but the 135i FEELS a lot faster...probably because of the torque though in the 135i and the heavier weight of the RS4)

First would be performance, comfortness, and the looks of exterior/interior.

When you say performance, do you mean the lap time it can put down or how exhilarating it feels behind the wheel when hooning it? Do you go to redline with every drive, or do you mostly hang out sub 4k RPMs and like the ability to occasionally put your foot down to pass someone? Do you enjoy drifting on public roads, or do you want to have it grip at speed through turns?

I like the S4 also -- but you're right, mileage terrible.
I'd look for a 2011-2012 135i manual.....28 MPG on the highway. One of the countless reasons I'd never consider that silly DCT is the 25MPG highway.....call me a tree hugger......go ahead. Me....tree hugger!!! You can find great deals on used 135s now that the 235 is out. Great cars....great deals..... Quote:
