No, the ETS unit does not require any trimming or cutting for the 135i 335i or 1M.

I've read a lot of positive things about the AR dp - as already discussed, it's available in catted and catless guise.

There doesn't seem to be detailed info on the akra dp anywhere, aside from the fact that it's available as catless only.

I think I am leaning towards a catted option, and I have emailed AR the spec of the cat. I am thinking of getting them to possibly do on with HJS 100 cel cat. That would make it much more expensive though. Otherwise, from the fitment photos from the akra exhaust, I couldn't see any reason why the akra dp will be less perfect.

AR makes one of the best DP's out there right now. Zero fitment issues so far.

Akrapovic is still limited on its info.

We just installed Ahrapovic DPs and they are fantastic!

Very well made, 5.5lbs lighter than stock DPs (due to no cats), very easy to install, perfect fitment too

Those DP's look pretty sweet! I think those are the first DP's that I have seen with expansion bellows too. Quality.

I'm unfamiliar with the role of the expansion belows. What do they do?

Thanks.

The "acordian belows" allow the exhaust system to grow, when it heats up. I would think DP's without them could have some leaks as the exhaust heats up or cools down. Most exhaust systems grow as they heat up. Typically about 25mm or more. Btw... I have only seen Porsche use these "acordian belows" before on their headers.

Yes, as the primary cats are removed and the secondary O2 sensors will trigger the CEL.

As Alekshop stated, the fitment is perfect so it is compatible with all oem and aftermarket exhausts.

No need to wait for something to come out ! Get ESS DirectFlash tune and it will take care of CEL as well as will give you a noticeable bump in hp/tq

Would be very interested to know if the Akrapovic DPs will fit on the 135. Anyone that could confirm or should fit them within the next week or so?
