Probably because they have stated numerous times that it doesn't make more power than 3.01.

4.01 is smoother than 3.01 so that may contribute as well why it doesn't feel faster either.

Hi,

Please read my question carefully.

I recently installed an intercooler and installed map stage1+FMIC version 4.01.

I had plain old stage 1 3.01 prior.

I'd expect a +FMIC map to be faster/generate more power than a non +FMIC map. Cobb also confirmed this before I bought the AP.

I'm not 'feeling' a difference and am wondering why?!?

You need to log as RnmEvo9 suggested, I used my Ap as a boost gauge and I know this stage 1 301 I hit about 14 PSI tops midrange where as the stage 1 + FMIC I'm hitting 16 PSI max in the midrange area. With both tapering down to 10-11 PSI towards redline. Meaning I've got more midrange punch and tourque. I defintley feel the difference.

Does anyone know how much power the stock clutch can hold?

Also I'm running stg2+ FMIC V401 agressive and towards the top of 3rd (5500 rpm or so) it cuts power for maybe 2 seconds. Anybody have this happen before?

Loaded the beta version of 4.01 (stage 1 / sport / stock throttle) and my 135i instantly gave me a service engine soon error message and the car produced a tremendous amount of white smoke at start-up and idle. Reloaded version 3.01 and both the error message and smoke disappeared. Looks like COBB still has a few bugs to work out on the Beta. I will stick with version 3.01 until 4.01 comes out of Beta.

I asked Cobb about stage1+FMIC and they told me that I would definitely get more power from that stage with a FMIC then just stay on stage 1 aggressive v3.01 with the new FMIC installed on the car.

Something definitely isn't right somewhere. I am IJEOS as well, and so far I have zero issues to report. I would uninstall it from the AP and re-download it again. Maybe something became corrupt at some point during the process.

+1, just butter smooth goodness for me with IJEOS 4.01 maps. Been in an upgrade cycle so have been through Stage 1 and 2 tiers on IJEOS 4.01.

Yes, as long as you are using a Stage 2 or 2+ map.
