sad, but very true - the vert was a DCT off the lot, the "is" was ordered

I thought the N55 came in mid-2010 models? I could be wrong.

This makes me not want to get rid of my car even more! Oddly, after owning 2 cars before this, this is the first car I've owned that went out of production while I still had it. Such a great little car.

This is kind of exciting. Makes me picture the market for these 40 or 50 years from now. I'll be watching Barrett Jackson at the home telling the nurses about me owning one of those back in the day.

I spent too long just trying to a find 1er in manual let alone a 135. That's what drove me to ordering euro delivery and going all out.

Out of the hundreds of cars on Otto's lot, there were only 4 manuals in the whole place. And It's one of the bigger dealers in the northeast region.

Unfortunately manuals are going the way of the e82 as well. A sad day in enthusiast land.
VERY true....and literally IMPOSSIBLE to find in Deep Sea Blue (the colour i wanted too!). I had to order mine. When i was shopping for a 135is, there were only a handful of cars in the entire US with a manual gearbox, and 1/3 of them were Convertibles...so for coupes i had very little choice----so i just ordered one.

That being said.....there are a LOT of 2nd hand 135i with manual gearboxes from what i've seen, mainly 2008-2010. When the DCT came out, it seemed the number of manuals really crashed.
Same thing when I bought my Deep Sea Blue 135i here in Canada. Looked all over in my city for MT but only DCT was available. Dealer made an offer I couldn't pass up, so I pulled the trigger. MT would've been nice, but no regrets to this day. Love this car!

I feel very lucky that I had the opportunity to drive a 135is 6mt before ordering mine. A dealer near me had a AW 135is with coral interior and a 6mt. The color choice wasn't exactly what I wanted (and it was optioned out to the max)...but it had a manual transmission. I was sold almost from the moment I heard that PE.

If anything horribly wrong had happened to my order I probably would have run back there and bought that one off the lot.

English is my second language but the way BMW is quoted here it is either out of date or just bad English. Why the clause about convertible is at the end of the sentence when it talks about timeframe which is before death of coupe??!!!

I agree, the wording is slightly odd.

You could get her a vert, and you get the coupe in MT - it worked for us
So far so good with the 335. We've had it back for the last 2 weeks and haven't had an issue with the limp mode just yet. The dealership is paying us back for the 2 months of car payments that we paid and it was stuck at the dealership.

She is looking at the 128i for herself. She isn't too worried about the performance like I am, she just like all the goodies the car comes with. I've been looking at the dealership in Gwinnett and Roswell

Leased a E92 for 3 years, loved the car. Ordered and leased a 2013 135i vert with 6mt and love it even more then the E92. Put the PE and the PPK on the car and plan on buying it at the end of the lease. The car just rocks! Proud to be part of the club!

Yup! I'm from boston had to go all the way to PA to find my e82 in 6MT. Had it for over a year, still puts a stupid grin on my fave every morning when I start it up. Love this car.

What does this mean in terms of appreciation?

I love my 135i! I bought her when I was a U.S. soldier stationed in Deutschland. I topped her out plenty of times on the autobahn, made many laps with her around the Nurburgring and Hockenheimring, traveled throughout the alps and European countryside, and crossed the U.S. from NY-WA through the Rocky Mountain and Cascade ranges... Needless to say, I love this car and will keep her as long as I am lucky enough to have her. I've had some of my best life experiences with this car as she made every occasion that much more enjoyable. Almost 4 years later, it still feels like the first time every time I take her out for a spin

It's a bit surprising to me that these have been out of production so long and yet it's only coming to light now. I suppose there just wasn't the same rush to get custom orders in before they turn off the faucet like there is with some other models.

quite a lot of us jumped at getting a 135is before production ended. sales of the 1 were 'brisk' for the past few months.
